Donna’s passion for helping families began long before attending law school. She primarily focuses her legal career on Estate Planning and Elder Care, along with other closely related areas of law.

Donna treats her clients like family, it is important for her to make sure the families she works with are comfortable and confident in the plan they are preparing for their future.

Before starting The Barkho Law Firm with her sister, Dahlia, Donna focused all of her time on Estate Planning, working very closely with families to ensure they are properly prepared for their future. Donna believes connecting with the families she works with is essential in establishing an Estate Plan that not only protects them now, but protects their legacy and the future generations of their families.

Donna earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University in 2012. She went on to receive her Law Degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2017. Donna has dedicated much time speaking at seminars and webinars about Elder Care and Estate Planning to make sure the community is well informed about the options for their future.

Helping families through careful planning is not the only thing Donna enjoys. She has dedicated much of her time volunteering at her local parish where she was a catechist and youth group leader. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and traveling. She is an active member in the Chaldean community. Donna is bilingual and speaks Chaldean fluently.
